What is the role?

  • The Business Development function is staffed by committed, customer-driven individuals. The successful applicant will be faced with almost unlimited scope for career progression within the company.
  • The successful candidate will prospect and produce qualified leads through aggressive outbound calling to decision makers and executives in target organizations. Leads will be generated through marketing programs, purchased lists, individual research and leads from conferences.
  • The Business Development Representative will follow up on campaigns, cold call targets / existing client base, identify contacts and determine buyers and decision-making influencers. The successful candidate must be confident in providing our message, value, and generating interest in our solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and gather new clients
  • Build a strong, long term pipeline
  • Deliver revenue growth goals established in conjunction with executive and divisional management
  • Follow up on pipelines for business expansion
  • Foster strong client and internal relationships
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with clients of all levels
  • Include relevant representatives in appropriate client meetings
  • Provide appropriate management updates and solicit feedback and direction when appropriate
  • Secure onsite presentation opportunities with high level (C level) clients

Qualifications

  • University or Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 2 years of inside sales / phone sales experience; preferably in the high-tech industry
  • Proven track record of meeting regional sales targets
  • Ability to communicate software solutions and ideas at a high level
  • Ability to cold call into an organization and identify key decision makers
  • Self-motivated and able to appropriately set and pursue own goals in support of the organization’s goals
  • Skilled communicator with an engaging phone presence
  • Excels in questioning and listening to determine the prospect’s need
  • Ability to generate well written correspondence to targeted customers
  • Focused, polite and persistent
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred, but not required

Client offers a starting base salary of $45k- $50k, plus a full and comprehensive benefits plan.
