Inside Sales – Trade Show Exhibits
Our client is a global exhibition organizer of B2B events, and has an immediate need for an experienced, inside sales representative to work out of client’s downtown Chicago office. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for candidates interested in proving their value and growth potential by starting out in a sales development/pipeline building role as the 2019 exhibit sales year ramps up.
There is much ground work in sales development between now and showtimes in 2019 to ensure successful annual events that include a full roster of top exhibitors and sponsors from the advanced manufacturing sectors (for both returning exhibitors and new exhibitors). The candidate that proves himself/herself during the initial pipeline-building, sales development phase will be hired by client full-time to sell various industrial events throughout the years.
Candidates having the right people skills will be successful. Therefore, one’s breadth of sales experience is not THE most important factor. The candidate who is driven to achieve goals, provides a high level of customer service, and has good written/verbal communication and admin skills will succeed.
Client company offers a base starting salary of $48,000 – $50,000, plus a commission range of 2% – 5% (sales to returning exhibitors and new exhibitor/sponsorship sales). Comprehensive benefits package includes health/dental/vision insurance, flexible work hours, generous PTO and paid holidays.
