Sales Representative - Real Estate Investment

Our client was founded in 2009 to fill financial gaps in the real estate marketplace resulting from the collapse of the global financial markets. The principals of the firm have in-depth experience gained from purchasing, rehabilitating, renting and selling 1000’s of single-family homes for over 35 years. We offer residential bridge, rehabilitation, and construction loans for the experienced, Illinois investor. Their market niche is growing by the month in the 3rd largest market in the U.S.

About the Job:

As a Sales Representative, your main objective is to assess, qualify and process potential borrowers continually maintained in client’s proprietary database of leads (no cold calling). You will speak with Illinois investors over the phone and in person, discuss loan programs, and determine whether client’s model fits their project and qualifications. Ideally, by the end of the conversation, the qualified investors will fill out an application to begin the origination process.

Responsibilities will include prospecting (phone calls, emails, face-to-face meetings, relationship building, etc.), qualifying (project details, needs, credit and experience), and more.

The Sales Representative will receive full training for the position.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-year Associates degree, ideally 4-year BA or BS degree.
  • Professional attitude, appearance and conduct.
  • Keen listening skills, the ability to respond to questions and address concerns thoughtfully, and an innate persuasiveness that moves the process toward closing.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills while remaining personable.
  • Ability to speak comfortably and confidently on the phone and via email, even when encountering an unfamiliar topic.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and teachable.
  • Experience in real estate helpful, but not required.
  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize and organize time and resources
  • Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset that is not only applied to all aspects of the work, but is conveyed by tone and example to the prospective borrowers and their sense of urgency
  • Persistence to maintain a daily output of sales-related activities with a heavy emphasis on outbound calling and messaging that projects a call to action.

Position:

  • Full-Time, Mon – Fri, 8:30am-5pm
  • Salary of $2,000/mo base, plus $1,000 monthly bonus expected during the first 1-2 months of training; $1,500 – $2,000/mo bonus increase achievable when full pipeline is maintained (no cap on bonus earnings).
